THE STORY
Only a few months later, COVID-19 wreaked havoc on the world. As Christian artists, we wanted to do something to help combat the global despair and uncertainty created by the pandemic, especially among the youth. We decided to collaborate with talented friends to cover ECHO and create a music video (collaborators are named and linked in the music video description box).
Ironically, we battled our own severe discouragement in completing the project due to repercussions from the virus. Exposure (outside our group) forced some collaborators to drop out and quarantine. The original venue for filming became unavailable due to the virus, and our producers became ill and had to delay filming indefinitely. It seemed that the music video was doomed before it started, and our message of encouragement would go unheard.
However, higher powers had a different plan, and with encouragement that flowed from the song lyrics themselves, the music video finally came together. Most everyone was able to participate and we filmed the video at an alternate location (downtown Salt Lake City) in just 3 hours.
We are confident that the message of ECHO can help to overcome life's trials, big or small, by reminding humanity (including ourselves) that there is hope for a bright future through the perfect love, saving grace, and continual encouragement of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
